Keywords (example when applicable): iHeartRadio, Music, Festival, Travis Barker, Blink 182, Drummer, Drumming, On Stage, Concert, Performing, Performs, Live, Musician, Celebrity, Tom Ford suit, Gucci sunglasses, sun glasses, 2020, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, MGM Grand Garden Arena,
Additional Keywords (ONLY when applicable): Full Length, Full Body, Eye Contact, Looking At Camera, Headshot, Waist Up, Celebrity, Musician, Actress, Actor, Arrivals, Inside, One Person, Female, Smiling, Vertical, Horizontal etc.
If talent is wearing a designer label, have Gucci or Louis Vuitton in the keywords or description, are they normally a brunette and they’re bleach blond in the photo, anything specific to the image that will help sell… Think when an editor wants a photo of Britney Spears there’s 100,000+ images, but if the editor wants a smiling or over the shoulder or headshot image of Britney there is now 5,000 images to search, but they want it from 2017 so now there’s 500 images and they want full body, eye contact, vertical image and now it’s narrowed down to 50 images from them to choose in essence.
Every system is different, some search systems only search keywords, some search systems only the descriptions and some both, but it makes having Keywords + Descriptions crucial to sales. If you can’t search for it, you won’t license it.
